POSITION SUMMARY


The primary purpose of the QSF Analyst is to receive lawsuit settlement data from various entities from which to develop and maintain tracking for payments out of an assigned Qualified Settlement Fund.  Auditable initiation and tracking of payments is required; and are made to many external entities including attorneys, claimants, lien holders and other 3rd party entities.  In addition, be responsible for the daily activity and overlooking the progress of each settlement assigned.  The QSF Analyst will receive, clean, process, verify and report on all data applicable to these payments.  The QSF Analyst will also work with the lien team in Austin, attorneys, and other pertinent parties to update and react to events throughout the lifecycle of the QSF to maintain accurate data related to these payments. 


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Assist and collaborate as needed with the technology and data teams, including but not limited to producing requirements, QA testing, and rollout, training/assisting others

  • Responsible for completing the day-to-day tasks of each QSF

    • Receiving disbursement requests and supporting data from internal and external partners and taking the appropriate actions

    • Performing quality control checks for accuracy and ensuring all requirements for disbursements have been met

    • Communicating deficiencies directly to QSF Project Managers and QSF Managers for resolution with the Client

    • Scheduled sweep of claimant election forms returned, performing QC and loading the data in ARCHER Connect

    • Scheduled sweep of claimant election forms not returned, reporting monthly to the QSF Project Manager

    • Preparing and sending claimant closing statements either by USPS or by DocuSign

    • Assist with the creation of disbursement summaries, reconciliations, and other reporting upon request



  • Initiate payments to individual claimants, law firms, Archer, medical lien holders, and others based on milestones and approvals

  • Collaborate with QSF Accounting on maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of each QSF reconciliation.

  • Performing data consolidation at a case level to ensure current and accurate information.

    • Performing quality control checks for accuracy and ensure all requirements for disbursements have been met  



  • Provide weekly updates on overall project status and coordinate with the QSF Project Manager on potential action items

  • Communicating deficiencies directly to QSF Project Managers and QSF Managers for resolution with the Client 

  • Use supporting data from internal and external sources to initiate disbursements or take other appropriate actions

  • Scrub and import data from internal and external sources into the database


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/statistics or equivalent work-related experience required



  • 3+ years of accounting/finance/treasury/fund management experience



  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills



  • Ability to prioritize work to meet the daily/monthly SLAs

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Desire for continuous process improvement and optimization



  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and communicate with fellow employees in different offices across the organization

  • Ability to exercise discretion in the processing of confidential matters
