About the Role

The Senior BI Analytics Engineer is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team and will be responsible for developing, researching, and implementing data analysis projects including, but not limited to, data reporting, data visualizations, data design, and ad-hoc research projects, while developing and implementing data visualizations using Tableau, ensuring robust and innovative solutions meet business needs. This role will be located in our Los Angeles office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Possessing a deep understanding of business processes and proactively identifying pain points where enhanced reporting and analytics can add significant value to the organization
  • Developing and implementing data visualizations using Tableau, ensuring robust and innovative solutions and business needs
  • Performing complex data analyses to derive actionable insights, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data, while utilizing storytelling techniques to transform complex data analyses into compelling narratives that effectively communicate insights and drive informed business decisions
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to draw up detailed requirements for data projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Communicating findings and insights effectively to stakeholders through presentations and detailed reports and advocating for the adoption of dashboards by demonstrating their value in data-driven decision making and strategic planning
  • Working closely with firm management, senior management, and various departments to support data-driven decision making initiatives and optimize reporting tools
  • Intergrating diverse data sources, both structured and unstructured, ensuring comprehensive data accessibility and usability
  • Conveying complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders through clear and effective communication
  • Possessing the ability to understand financial concepts and effectively apply them to Tableau visualization design  
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains 

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of SQL, proficiency in Tableau, and familiarity with other programming languages
  • Possess the ability to perform complex data analysis and derive actionable insights
  • Display excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey data findings and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

And have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Economics or related field, preferably
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience with SQL, data visualization, and complex data analysis
  • Proven experience with Tableau and other data visualization tools

Pay Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
