If you are a skilled Litigation Attorney with experience in jury trials, conducting depositions, managing complex motion practice, and negotiating settlements, this position could be the perfect match for you. The compensation package for this role is between $120,000 and $140,000, inclusive of bonuses, health benefits, and 401(k) contributions.

We pay all bar dues and CLE fees, and there may be relocation assistance available.

  • Manage a caseload of at least 40 cases with precision and attention to detail
  • Supervise the dedicated support staff assigned to your cases to ensure seamless operations
  • Analyze legal scenarios thoroughly and develop strategic plans to address clients' needs effectively
  • Direct litigation strategies and represent clients in both West Virginia's circuit court and federal court
  • Draft legal documents meticulously and conduct comprehensive legal research to bolster cases
  • Conduct depositions, and mediations, and serve as lead counsel in trials and arbitrations with confidence
  • Skilled in effectively communicating during high-pressure situations, especially when managing emotions
  • Demonstrated understanding of employment laws and procedures
  • Able to handle difficult or negative situations with patience and diplomacy
  • Must have experience as first chair in jury trials
  • Must be licensed in West Virginia
  • Ohio licensure is preferred but not mandatory
  • Comfortable using technology in legal practice
  • Strong inclination to assist clients during challenging times and enhance their circumstances
  • Possess exceptional negotiation skills, think quickly on their feet, and exude confidence in a courtroom setting
  • Willingness to travel for mediations and depositions throughout the state
