If you are a proficient Litigation Attorney with expertise in jury trials, deposition proceedings, handling intricate motions, and negotiating settlements, this role could be the perfect fit for you. The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000, inclusive of bonuses, health benefits, and 401(k) contributions. We cover all bar dues and CLE fees and offer potential relocation assistance.
- Manage a caseload of at least 40 cases meticulously, ensuring precision and attention to detail
- Supervise the dedicated support staff assigned to your cases to guarantee seamless operations
- Thoroughly analyze legal scenarios and develop strategic plans to effectively address clients' needs
- Direct litigation strategies and provide representation for clients in both West Virginia's circuit court and federal court
- Meticulously draft legal documents and conduct comprehensive legal research to strengthen cases
- Conduct depositions and mediations, and serve as lead counsel in trials and arbitrations with confidence
- Proficient in effectively managing high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of employment laws and procedures
- Capable of handling challenging or negative circumstances with poise and tact
- Experience in serving as first chair in jury trials
- Licensed to practice law in West Virginia
- Comfortable utilizing technology within legal practice
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to assisting clients in difficult situations and improving their outcomes
- Possesses exceptional negotiation skills, thinks quickly on their feet, and displays confidence in a courtroom environment
- Willing to travel for mediations and depositions across the state
