The Position

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team at Friedman Vartolo. This critical role will be instrumental in overseeing financial operations, providing strategic guidance through data-driven insights, and ensuring effective financial management to support the firm's objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Present findings to senior management to facilitate informed business decisions.


• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable and unbilled time. Analyze inventory trends and recommend adjustments to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risks.


• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and efficiency gains.


• Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets and forecasts aligned with the firm's strategic goals. Monitor variances and provide actionable insights for management decision-making.


• Utilize financial modeling and scenario analysis to provide insights into potential outcomes and risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.


• Serve as the primary point of contact with external accountants and internal compliance team for audits, tax preparation, and regulatory compliance. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data.


• Maintain and optimize financial systems and tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy. Implement best practices for data integrity and security.


• Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.


• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to financial management and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field


• Proven experience (2+ years) as a Financial Analyst or similar role, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.


• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.


• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP).


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.


• Advanced proficiency in financial software and accounting systems; experience with Excel, Quickbooks and SQL.


• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.


• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
