The Senior Network Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house data, voice, video and wireless network services. In addition, the Network Engineer is responsible for the configuration, installation, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade patching and associated troubleshooting of Analysis Group systems and network infrastructures. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers (rack and blade), storage, routers, switches, and other hardware
  • Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, systems, processes, and service records
  • Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, and other network appliances
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the technology industry
  • Maintain asset management, including system component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
  • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports
  • Participate in managing all network security solutions
  • 24x7 On-call rotation, troubleshoot/resolve remotely or onsite as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years substantive relevant work experience required.
  • An ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of substantive relevant experience
  • Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, design, implementation and support
  • Proven experience with Azure network designs; AWS experience is a plus
  • Experience with Cisco ISE
  • Proven experience with network security principles, and general network management best practices
  • Proven technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards
  • Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Competence with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
  • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Certifications in Cisco, Aruba, Checkpoint, or VMWare a plus
  • Experience with Netskope, or other SASE solutions, is a plus
