OVERVIEW:

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of product initiatives to drive business value and enhance user experience at BAL. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and stakeholders, to define product vision, roadmap, and requirements. The Senior Product Manager will leverage data, business insights, and user feedback to make informed product decisions and ensure alignment with company goals. Moreover, the Senior Product Manager is the driving force for leveling up the Client Experience of the Cobalt® case management system.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and execute the product vision and roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders, specifically our Client Experience Steering Committee
  • Gather and prioritize product requirements based on market research, user feedback, and business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor junior product team members by delegating and strategizing on activities such as sprint planning and backlog refinements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to translate business needs into detailed product requirements and user stories.
  • Partner with design teams to ensure an intuitive and engaging user experience.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and leverage data analytics to make data-driven product decisions.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to communicate product updates and manage expectations.
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration.
  • Champion best practices for product development and ensure alignment with company goals and industry trends.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), integration testing, and functionality testing to ensure product quality.
  • Identify and track bugs or product issues, working with engineering teams to implement solutions.
  • Develop product documentation, including release notes, user guides, and internal training materials.
  • Conduct product demos and training sessions for internal teams and clients.
  • Gather, catalog, and prioritize feature requests from stakeholders and users.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives with competing deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in process and software architecture documentation.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a product owner, including requirements gathering and user story writing.
  • Experience managing the full product lifecycle from strategy to execution.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong experience working in an agile development environment with scrum methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in using JIRA for sprint tracking, backlog management, and roadmap planning.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in using data to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to develop and present product strategies to stakeholders and executives.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
  • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
  • Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Regular and on-time attendance.
  • Must be able to prioritized, schedule and complete testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules.
  • A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required.
  • Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.
  • Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
