Senior Trial Attorney - Personal Injury

Speaks Law Firm is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney to join our litigation team. The perfect candidate is tenacious, authentic, and focused on achieving the best outcome for our clients. Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop associate attorneys and paralegals in litigation department
• Analyze evidence including medical records and investigative findings, interview clients and witnesses, consult field experts, and research statutes and case law
• Prepare legal documents such as briefs, motions, pleadings, and other correspondence
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership to determine case strategies and solutions to serve client's needs after thorough analysis and review of plaintiff and defense positions
• Resolve cases to achieve the best possible outcome for the client through mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Evaluate processes within the litigation department and streamline processes
• Participate in weekly and biweekly meetings including 1:1’s with direct reports
• Participate in marketing initiatives such as podcasts, blogs, and ad campaigns

Qualifications:

• Active member of NC Bar Association required 
• Active member of SC Bar Association a plus
• Seven (7) or more years of experience in personal injury litigation required
• Proficiency in writing, research, negotiation, and public speaking required
• Must have authentic and persuasive communication and oratory skills
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills required
• Experience with Needles Neos Case Management Software a plus
• Passion for advocating for our clients and maintaining a positive attitude required

Compensation
This is a full-time salary exempt position. Annual base salary plus commission depends on experience.
