About the Role

If you are looking for a dynamic role with a rapidly growing company, we are hiring a Staff Accountant to manage day-to-day financial tasks. As a part of our scrappy Finance Team, you will support the management of accounts payable and receivable, payroll and bank account management and reconciliation, and data and insights. Success in this position is contingent upon exceptional communication, software, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions, completing the posting process.
• Track company bank accounts, deposits and balances; report regularly to management.
• Reconcile and verify all company invoices and monthly statements, assign payments to applicable cost centers.
• Process accounts receivable and payable.
• Work with external vendors to resolve any invoice problems or inaccuracies.
• Assist in preparing and tracking annual budgets, balance sheets, and rolling forecasts. Collaborate with departments to ensure alignment with financial goals.
• Analyze key financial metrics and trends to support strategic decision-making. Provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial documentation.
• Collaborate with teams across Quintessa Marketing to ensure alignment with financial goals and strategies.
• May help to develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability. Conduct variance analysis to track performance against the business plan.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's in accounting or business administration.
• 1+ years of accounts payable & receivable, general ledger, and payroll experience.
• Strong background in real estate and investment management, including property operations and financial analysis.
• Possess strong quantitative skills to analyze and interpret data effectively, contributing to informed decision-making processes.
• Experience recording credits and debits in ledgers.
• Handling payroll using payroll software.
• Knowledge of payables, budgeting, and accounting best practices.
• Knowledge of the dynamics and mechanics of a broad array of accounting software.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
• Experience working with QuickBooks, Excel, and Google Sheets.

Location: On-site

The Staff Accountant is a full-time, exempt position working on-site in Oklahoma City. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes health/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, paid vacation and sick days, a gym membership, and childcare reimbursement. In addition to our tangible benefits, Quintessa provides our people the opportunity to learn and grow within a supportive team environment. The pay range for the role is $50,000 - $63,000 annually depending on qualifications.
