A DAY IN THE LIFE AS TITLE OPERATIONS ASSISTANT/CLOSING AGENT



  • As Title Operations Assistant/Closing Agent, you will spend most of your time independently supporting the daily functions of the real estate department.

  • Conduct title searches and examine public records to determine the legal status of properties.

  • Maintain and organize electronic and physical files related to real estate transactions.

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and distribution of title commitments, title policies, and other title-related documents.

  • Coordinate with title companies, lenders, real estate agents, and clients to obtain necessary information and documents for title clearance and closing.

  • Assist in preparing closing documents, settlement statements, and other related documentation.

  • Assist as needed with closings and post-closing disbursements and issuance of final title policies


QUALIFICATIONS FOR TITLE OPERATIONS ASSISTANT/CLOSING AGENT


Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.


Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in real estate title operations or a related field within a law firm or title company preferred.


Skills:



  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Familiarity with real estate terminology, title insurance processes, and related documentation.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Despite a fast pace and short timeframes, you excel and are efficient and thorough with multiple large volume tasks. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help improve processes and documentation to minimize errors.
