Trust and Retainer Specialist Job Details:


Snell & Wilmer, one of the largest law firms in the Western United States, is seeking a full-time Trust & Retainer Specialist to join our Finance Department in our Phoenix office. 


If you have strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, adherence to deadlines, and an understanding of financial processes and regulations, this could be your next exciting opportunity!  


The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Records funds received, acquires appropriate authorizations, and disburses payments

  • Resolves any questions that may arise in the process

  • Develops and maintains smooth working relationships with attorneys and staff

  • Essential to maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and accurate payment processing


 Experience and Qualifications:



  • 2 to 3 years of experience working with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or higher preferred, but not required

  • Large law firm experience is a plus, but not required 

  • Accounting software experience preferred, but not required 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Microsoft Excel knowledge is required

  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
