Our Houston office is looking for a reliable, energetic associate licensed to practice in Texas. We offer a team environment where associates work closely with partners, colleagues, staff and clients on a daily basis. Associates handle all phases of litigation and participate in marketing, with no billable hours. Experience is not required. We provide training and have a mentorship program. We are seeking a highly motivated attorney whose goal is partnership. We will consider recently licensed attorneys.


Starting Compensation $80,000.00 / commensurate with experience

Essential Duties



  • Review legal documents such as pleadings, notices, and judgments

  • Prepare for and attend court appearances in Montgomery and surrounding counties

  • Work closely with staff on collection and litigation activities

  • Draft discovery requests and responses

  • Research and analyze legal issues

  • Advise clients on tax matters

  • Communicate with taxpayers and attorneys

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients

  • Participate in marketing and networking activities

  • Attend local evening and weekend events including statewide conferences

  • Draft memorandum for the firm and for clients

  • Assist with appellate matters

  • Manage a large caseload

  • Identify and analyze complex issues

  • Provide research that is thorough and responsive to issue at hand

  • Write in an organized, clear and concise manner

  • Work in a supervisory position


Preferred Experience



  • 0-5 years litigation experience.
