The Opportunity: Come join a driven team of People & HR professionals dedicated to helping teams and internal stakeholders focus on what matters. The Human Resources Business Partner is a position within the People function responsible for managing HR matters and supporting employees in our UK region. We are looking for an enthusiastic, initiative-taking, and ambitious individual who will help drive Talent initiatives, while working under the guidance of the Vice President, Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive employee engagement throughout the employee lifecycle including being a cultural role model in our London office.
  • Work in collaboration with the functional HR team in support of the workforce strategy and organization goals.
  • Partner with senior leadership to understand business needs and advise on people-related strategies.
  • Ensure effective on and off-boarding of employees.
  • Effectively integrate employees of acquired companies.
  • Manage employee relations issues (e.g., disciplinary and investigation hearings, probation review meetings, flexible working requests, Maternity/Paternity, and settlement agreements), operating in line with company policy and employment law guidelines for the region.
  • Manage employee termination process including exit interviewing.
  • Conduct and oversee disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Assist in the facilitation of the performance evaluation programme, including the development of personal goals, and IDPs as necessary.
  • Provide support to the Total Rewards team on regional payroll guidelines.
  • Lead and manage the HR function for the UK, Netherlands, Kosovo, and Ukraine, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with the management team to enhance workforce diversity and ensure an inclusive work environment.
  • Provide guidance on Employment Legislation and ensure that the business practices meet the necessary standards.
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and develop proactive solutions to improve HR outcomes and business performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within an international context.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices across the UK, and eastern Europe.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English; additional language skills relevant to the regions covered would be advantageous.
  • Ability to oversee sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in leading HR projects and change management initiatives across diverse cultural environments.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ideally, Workday experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and demonstrate discretion and good judgement.
  • Ability to work independently, with great multitasking and prioritization skills.

About You

  • HR Fundamentals: Expert knowledge of and ability to collaborate with all areas of People & Performance.
  • Effective Communication: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have a proven ability to modify communication style and approach based on audience.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to understand all business metrics with an emphasis on people to seek further opportunities for HR to impact and add value to the business.
  • Experience working in a progressive Human Resources role; Preferably in an HR Business Partner role supporting cross-functional business units.
  • Robust analytical skillset and strong ability to problem solve.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
  • Proven record of partnering with all levels of an organization to drive various priorities and initiatives.
  • CIPD level 5 or above (or a recognised equivalent qualification).
  • Ideally, experience in a technology company with global presence.
