Mission: To provide full support to the Creative Services department, assisting the team both in the office and on shoots.

Position Overview: The Production Assistant acts in service of the Creative Services team, assisting in all areas as needed. The ideal candidate has both on set and in office PA experience and interest.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Responsible for keeping the cj studio and shoot gear organized
  • Transport shoot gear to and from shoot locations
  • Assist with the set up and tear down of gear for shoots: in studio, office, or on location
  • Coordinate catering and craft services on shoot days
  • Assist producers with shoot logistics as needed
  • Create, print, and distribute production materials for shoots, such as script packets, schedules, releases, and more.
  • Assist with location shoot research and recommendations: travel, lodging, catering, permits, points of interest, etc.
  • Log and transcribe shoot footage as needed
  • Learn teleprompter and timecode logging software, serve as backup
  • Prepare scripts for closed captioning
  • Execute dub requests & print labels and scripts
  • Maintain the department�s Vimeo and YouTube channels as needed
  • Perform research for client analysis, bar rules, and miscellaneous research requests as needed
  • Schedule department meetings, take notes during meetings, and distribute as appropriate
  • Handle FedEx and mail shipments for the department
  • Additional ordering, pick-ups, and deliveries as directed

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree preferred

  • General knowledge of full production process and previous on-set experience preferred
  • Familiarity with grip and lighting equipment a plus

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Organized, detail-oriented

Punctual, reliable

Works well both independently and collaboratively

Self-starter and a quick learner, willing to handle tasks big and small

Creative problem solver

Ability to multi-task

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Travel may be required
